What to expect?

There is a reason this is the most sought tour by everyone in the island, after all, Porto Moniz is where the harsh north Atlantic Sea clashes against the lava rocks and it's ginormous and verdant mountains, and that my dear friends, it's quite a sight to see.

But fret not, there is so much more to see above and beyond Porto Moniz, and lots of off-road trails to explore! We’ll go to places no rent-a-car can ever dream of going, after all, if they could, why would we exist in the first place?

In between curved roads and off-road trails, we'll visit iconic places within Porto Moniz, the stunning plateau of Paul da Serra, and much more. Along the way, if the weather allows, you might even have opportunities for swimming in lava pools or waterfalls.

We will pick you up at your hotel or designated accommodation, and once the tour is over, we will drive you back to your accommodation.

Pick-up starting times based on location:

Caniço - 08:30 a.m.

Funchal - 09:00 a.m.

Other locations - Driver will inform via email.

Things you should bring.

Wind-breaker or similar. (Weather in Madeira can change quickly so be prepared for varying conditions, even in summer!).
Sunscreen.
Cash, why? because local bars usually don't accept credit/debit cards for purchases below 5.00€ and a coffee is usually only 0.80€ ;)
Comfortable, and non slippery shoes.
Bathing suit and towel (Highly recommended during summer, or any hot day really).
Small backpack (To carry all your essentials, like water and snacks).

This is our recommendation, however feel free to inquire should you have any further questions.

Age restrictions.

Max - You must be no older than 75 years old,

Min - no younger than age 3 (for more information you can consult our policy and terms clicking here).

Other restrictions.

While we can't give actual medical advice, we highly recommend that you abstain from participating in this tour if you are pregnant, or have any medical conditions that might pose a danger to yourself, should you partake in this tour.

Mobility limitations.

Please inform us in advance if any participants have mobility limitations so we can advise on the suitability of the tour.

Fanal Forest

Fanal Forest is quite the sight; when foggy, it comes out as if it were straight from a fairy tale. Definitely worthy of a visit.

Porto Moniz Village

Porto Moniz is well known for its natural volcanic pools, and despite its population being in decline, it has become a hub for tourism.

Seixal Village

Very much like Porto Moniz, Seixal too has shallow inhabitant numbers but makes up for it with a more traditional and historically preserved atmosphere.
